Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook pasta al dente as directed by package. Set aside and rinse under cold water.
  2. Brown beef, sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat, until there is no pink. Drain some fat.
  3. Incorporate pasta sauce, tomato paste and Italian seasoning. Simmer on for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, parsley and egg.
  5. Add a 9×13 pan with 1 cup of meat sauce. Three lasagna noodles top. Layer with one third of the cheese mixture and one cup of meat sauce. Repeat finishing with sauce-topped noodles.
  6. Cover with foil, then bake for 45 minutes. Uncover, add cheese and bake for another 15 minutes or until brown and bubbled. Broil for 2-3 minutes, if you wish.
  7. Rest for 10-15 minutes prior to cutting.
